the title of this post isn’t really how i feel, but it’s a The National lyric and so it seemed semi-fitting.

last night our tech support guys came to the office to move the unity (the loud server with all of our avid data on it) out of my office into a different office.   avid needs to run on fiber optic cables. once they moved the unity to a different office, the cables they had previously installed weren’t long enough, so they spent most of the night laying down new cable.  our systems were down for about 6 hours, so we couldn’t do any work.  hope that doesn’t come back to bite us tonight!
